It may be easy for someone who doesn't need that service to bypass its value but as someone who recently moved cities, going from a kitchen table session with 8+ people in my apartment every Tuesday to not knowing ANYONE in my new city. Thats a service that I think is very important for the continuation of paper magic as not everyone has a great group of friends that they can rely on for consistant paper magic play and new players who get started in Arena have an easy entry point into paper magic with a friendly, knowledgable LGS staff and community. They are foregoing revenue from selling other products in that area in order to provide the community with a place to play, typically FOR FREE. This space doesn't make them any money typically. LGS's allocate a portion of their floor space to game play area.
Is because they don't have the volume that a target or walmart has in terms of overall sales. If LGS's die, how do those Arena players get into paper magic if they don't already have friends that play?
